Almost 10 years ago we traveled to Japan for the first time and we were able to try the matcha and, of course, in a tea ceremony. But what also surprised us was how good the Starbucks Matcha was, well, the matcha latte that the American chain offered in Tokyo.

At that time, almost no one made matcha latte in the world and we believe that in Japan, Starbucks was one of the first to offer it. In any case, we almost abandoned coffee (and we are also very coffee lovers) in favor of our favorite tea.

The disappointment was tasting it years later in Barcelona and seeing that its flavor had that horrible (in our opinion) touch of vanilla, so common to mask a low-quality matcha. It may be that nostalgia for Japan and how wonderful everything was clouded our judgment, but obviously we didn't remember it that way. In any case, it is always valid to get you out of trouble.
