We are talking about one of the trendy drinks and, therefore, its presence in supermarkets was only a matter of time. We analyze Mercadona Matcha Tea. Does it give us the same? Does it lose weight? Is it worth the price we paid for it? We will try to help you with some of these questions.

Matcha Tea Mercadona price and composition

For €3.20 you get 10 sachets of 1.5 grams, that is, about 100 grams costs €21,334.

If we compare it, for example, with Matcha Classic from The Matcha House, the latter costs €11.52 / 10g. If we go to one of the most basic of the Japanese company, 30 grams of Teatime Matcha costs €19.69.

Each sachet contains nothing more than 1.5 grams of matcha tea. For every 1.5 grams you get 0.045 grams of caffeine.

If you are wondering about the properties of Mercadona matcha tea, they are the same as any other. You can read our article on properties of matcha tea to get an idea.

As you can imagine, it is not recommended for children or pregnant women. You can buy it at Web.

How to prepare Mercadona Matcha Tea?

First you must boil water.
Sift 1 sachet of Matcha Tea with a strainer into a cup, bowl or glass to avoid lumps.
Add half of the water you have boiled.
Beat until the tea is dissolved.
Add the rest of the water and stir until foam is obtained on the surface. The use of a mixer is recommended.

If you want to prepare a Matcha Latte, Mercadona recommends simply replacing the water with milk. Another possibility is to do the same process with water and after dissolving the tea, add milk, hot or cold.

Mercadona Matcha Tea Opinion:

We have tried a packet of Mercadona Matcha Tea and this is our opinion. For being a supermarket matcha, it has really exceeded our expectations. It is far from the experience that brands like The Matcha House either Bonsai, but it's not bad at all in flavor.

We especially recommend it in Latte (otherwise it may be too sour) and with a little sugar.

In short, it is not a panacea but it can get you out of trouble if you run out of your favorite drink. Also recommended for those who are starting out and do not want to invest so much.

Have you tried it? If you want, leave us your opinion ☺️

Lots of energy

September 17, 2024

I love the energy that matcha tea gives me every day. The flavor is not bad, but I prefer to add sugar. It makes your skin look softer and more beautiful.

Surprised

Not bad for getting out of a tight spot, perhaps more bitter than others but I expected less.

Comparison

July 8, 2024

I am very new to this world, but I had tried matcha tea in two different cafes, always lattes with soy milk (I really like the vanilla touch) and of the two I like one of them better; The fact is that at home I prepare the one from Mercadona with vanilla (from Hacendado too, the base It's a soy drink) and it doesn't deviate much from what the hospitality industry offers me. So it seems good to me, although I'm looking for a better option and I don't know where to start

Perfect with reusable capsules sweet taste

March 18, 2024

Surprised at the taste with a sachet in a reusable capsule in sweet taste cafe. I like it with lemon and without sweetener. Good tea at a very good price.

Good (for a supermarket)

Well, I didn't have very high expectations with this matcha, but really if you make it with milk it's not bad at all.
